Tickets are now on sale for the NAC’s 2011-2012 dance season! My top picks for the year are the Bolshoi Ballet’s Don Quixote and Alvin Ailey’s Revelations and Other Works. Of course The Nutcracker is also a good choice for parents wanting to introduce their kids to the dance world.
Because some of these performances take place near dinnertime, I recommend eating something light at home before going (maybe some munchies from A Culinary Conspiracy?), and then heading downstairs to Le Café for another little bite and a glass of wine after the show. The restaurant is open Monday to Saturday from 9:00pm to 11:00pm when there is a performance in Southam Hall. The menu changes frequently, but I always enjoy Chef Blackie’s seafood and soups. I had a divine chowder here after a show last year that I’m still thinking about….
